  Dr. Richard T. Strawser is a superior family care physician! We selected him when we moved to NW Austin in 1984, so he has been our caregiver for over 30 years!!! We are so lucky, as he saved my husband's life twice by being on top of test results that indicated immediate life threats. I can't imagine a more professional caring physician. He has a busy practice, but takes time with your individual issues. His nurse & the office staff give first rate service getting you in & out in a timely manner & dealing with insurance. Great choice for anyone!

  Horrible experience! Not ever going back there. I was openly discriminated against. Here is what happened, I was there, in that office to pick up a family member and wanted to schedule myself as a new patient. It's more convenient to have all family members at the same doctors office. When I wanted to schedule my time with Dr Lewis the receptionist informed me that that Dr Lewis wanted all his female patients to know that he doesn't prescribe birth control. First I honestly did not get why she said this. I was scheduling a visit because I was having chest pain. But she said it again, Dr Lewis wants to communicate to all his female patients that he does not prescribe birth control. It felt humiliating and very strange and had nothing to do with me or why I was there. I left the office right away. I am so sad that I at my age and position in life have to deal with gender discrimination like this. My male family member who witnessed the whole thing was shocked. He is never going back there again. We are filing a complaint against him and that office. We do not live in a developing country! This is the USA. I am not interested in my doctors or office staffs religious, medieval, misogynist views.
